The Parasite — Short Film
Billboards do not derive their value from the private land they stand on, but from the public space they stand next to. They feed like a parasite off space they do not own. ‘The Parasite’ critiques the current state of public space that is designed with the intent to transform a human being into a consuming wanderer.
I am a spatial designer and visual artist whose work explores the political and social implications within the experience of public space. My work seeks to challenge the normative hierarchies of control in society and offer design solutions that prioritise social value over economic gain.
